MAJOR RELEVANT PROJECTS

  • USDA Western Research Center (USDA WRC), Albany, CA; Provided design/build services to reengineer their makeup air, exhaust air and lab hood exhaust for their building.  Design and install new lab control system to monitor pressures and air flows in the lab and in the hoods.  Design allowed the reduction of outside air changes from 18 changes per hour to 8 changes per hour resulting in significant energy savings for the customer. Converted chilled water system from a primary/secondary loop to a variable primary loop.  Also performed design build services to completely redesign central utility plant steam system.  By decentralizing the steam plant and reducing capacity and increasing efficiency we were able to save the government millions in operating cost.  The research center is the chief scientific in-house research agency whose job is finding solutions to agricultural problems that affect Americans everyday from field to table.

  • Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), Corpus Christi, TX; Provided design build services to Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. to rebuild two (2) Jet Engine Test Cells (ETC’s) designed for the General Electric T700D turboshaft engine. This engine is used in various United States Military rotary aircraft (helicopters).  The CCAD facility is operated through the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project involved installing complete, new, water brake load systems and supporting infrastructure in two (2) Engine Test Cells (ETC’s) utilizing Kahn hydraulic dynamometers, integral torque measuring systems, and control systems designed for the GE T700D Engine.

  • Reynolds Army Community Hospital (RACH) Fort Sill, OK; Provided design build services to increase the capacity of the central utility plant, convert plant from primary/secondary flow to primary variable flow, rebuild and increase the efficiency of the boiler plant including replacing (1) 250 HP Boiler and rebuild in place (2) 350 HP boilers.  High light of the project was the design and building of an underground cooling tower.

  • Joint Systems Manufacturing Center (JSMC) Lima, OH; Provided design build services to remove 3 large coal fired boilers with all their supporting infrastructure and replace it with 2 800 HP dual fuel boilers.  Project also included the design and install of a 40,000 gallon propane storage facility including a gas fired water bath vaporizer and air blending station.  The propane storage system was designed for demand service, to reduce the load on the local natural gas supply in periods of high demand.  JSMC – Lima provides the US Military with a premier industrial facility capable of manufacturing, repairing or refurbishing the full spectrum of combat vehicles.
